Really nice beach with opportunities to find small shark teeth, there's a gift shop as well with snacks and drinks. The parking lot is decent sized but does fill up, it was full before 12:00 noon on a Saturday so they closed the gate and let cars come in as cars would leave. So be aware you may have to have a backup plan if the gate is closed on arrival.

We paid $16 to get into a place to park to go to the beach we were already at for free. The bathrooms were absolutely disgusting. The beach is stunning and by far worth it! We saw 3 loggerhead turtle nests within 200 feet. We have never seen so many untouched shells before.

Nice beach, not overcrowded. State Park offers great parking, day fee per person required. Beach access parking in several spots alone the main road. I'm sure there are plenty of rental homes and resort places offered, we were only there for the day. Town is small and only a few shops and restaurants to choose from, which was fine with us as we dislike big box, overdone, crowded beach areas.

We stayed at Live Oak campground #110, The sites are well shaded and decent amount of privacy. our camper is 32 foot and absolutely no room to put our awning out and could barely get in and out front door with all the brush. Would not recommend this site if you have a larger camper. But did see quiet a few sites That were nice. They Bathhouse was very clean, air conditioned and spacious. Wifi sucks. Short drive To the beach and you can access the other campground and it's amenities.

Stayed just two nights in the Live Oak campground to camp in the truck. Steward was very helpful and friendly! Areas were clean and well kept. Even after it rained the roads were still in great shape.
