Absolutely beautiful location but overpriced for the campground and amenities. Paid $20 to spend one night here and though we got a spot that was perfect for setting up our tent, we discovered the campground’s normal bathrooms were out of order (they had outhouses instead), all the trash cans around the campground were wrapped up and unavailable (they did have a dumpster available near the entrance though), and most notably the water filling stations were all turned off, and we were there at the beginning of August, so definitely not the “winterized” time of year when you’d expect to see these weird changes.

Wonderful campground! Beautiful lake! Clean porta potties. Very nice camp host. Campsites are very spaced out. Lovely views. Just have to take a bumpy dirt road for about 30min to get to it. Well worth it!

Amazing and ridiculously beautiful place to camp. I think all the sites are all first come first serve. The lake and surrounding area is breathtaking. Fees are about $20 a night, but that is quite reasonable for the space you get, location, and access to bathrooms. Because the site is at about 8k feet, it can be chilly at night or during the day even in the summer. There are a couple trails in the area that venture further into the forest that are also quite pretty. The campsite doesn't seem to get a lot of use so it's relatively private. It isn't tricky to get to but there are a couple miles of dirt road that rise in elevation and can be kind of uncomfortable in a small 2wd car. It feels pretty remote and can be tricky to get service, if that's the kind of thing you enjoy.
