Wonderful place to stop and see one of Washington's greatest tourist attractions. The water below is so disturbed during low and high tides because of the shallow water pouring through the narrow passages. It gets its name because of the fast current that's hard to guage from a boat.

Beautiful all year round. Hiking, water, mountains, wildlife… so much to see. You can park and walk across the bridges for free. Pets are welcome. There’s a bathroom close. Very busy freeway, be careful with kids or elderly.

Scary but cool. Driving over is neat but walking across is a whole other ballgame. Wowzers. Your mind plays tricks on you. It’s not logical and we laughed about it. Shakily. When big trucks go by…. 😯 Especially on the second bridge. 🫨 We found it to be a lot shakier and didn’t walk as far out as we did on Deception. Crazy since it’s shorter. Very cool experience especially paired with the ferry and drive across Whidbey. We had a great day! Highly recommend.
