Such a treat to be able to sail right out of 'downtown' Mystic! The weather was beautiful and the speaking sailor 'mate' was clearly very knowledgeable about the area and shared lots of stories and tidbits about what we were viewing. It was a little cumbersome finding the actual spot the boat leaves from in relation to the parking area. Also the office is where your gps might lead you but then there's a sign giving you directions on walking to the dock. They probably could tell you to gps to the store right next to the drawbridge (Mystic Sweet Shop) and it would be more helpful. We ordered the cheese and cracker set ahead of time. It was handed to us in a small gift bag. The contents were great; almond crackers packets, spreadable cheese, olives in a packet etc. We also brought a small cooler with more snacks and our adult beverages. It was a little chilly on the boat and they handed out small blankets to us, which was appreciated. The speaking-sailor-mate gave us very clear safety instructions about where not to stand and also how to use the ladder to the lower deck and the 'head.' I could have stayed out on that boat with the quiet-nature of sailing for hours! This may be picky but it would be great if they had small cup holders and maybe trays mounted to the deck so that the snacks don't have be juggled while you are enjoying leisure time. I would definitely go again!

Went out on Saturday noon cruise and had a wonderful time on this Schooner! From booking through boarding, the process was run very smoothly. The website is easy to use and the directions are great. If you phone in, they are very nice. The captain and mates were great and very knowledgeable. We were able to sail with all 3 sails up! The stories surrounding the area were very enjoyable to hear as well as having some landmarks pointed out to us. They even allowed passengers to help in hoisting the sails. The captain let my husband and I “steer”. (Long enough for a picture 🙂)! I highly recommend for a vacation memory of Mystic CT!

I went on the sunset sailing trip on the Argia for my birthday. What a treat it is. I have never been on a sail boat before and I was nervous but the crew quickly put me at ease. The crew are charming and each of the crew has a unique personality that adds to the theater of the experience. The crew provides information about the vessel and the area with interesting anecdotes and humor. The crew socializes with the passengers and answers questions. There was water and lemonade, you can order lobster rolls to be served in the voyage, and you can bring your own picnic and beverages. The views were lovely and the experience of being on a big sail boat is wonderful. I highly recommend sailing on the Argia with this awesome crew. Thanks for making my birthday good.

What a great sail! I went on a few during my trip to Mystic and this one was by far the best. Great views, comfortable ride, very knowledgeable crew. They’ll even let you help hoist the sails! I’d recommend a weeknight for the sunset cruise, less crowded and gives you a chance to really chat with the sailors - they’ve got plenty of stories. And they do all the boat work themselves! Tip these guys, they laquered your bench. Don’t forget to BYOB. Grabbed some beers from the shop just around the corner right before checking in. Very convenient. I’ll also say, the website is very smartly built. Clear details and photos of each of the seats, so you know just what you’re getting. Don’t skip this cruise! Worth every penny.
