Located in the heart of San Francisco, Clipper Cove Beach is a hidden gem tucked away on Treasure Island. Known for its serene sandy shoreline and calm waters, this beach offers a refreshing escape from the bustling city. Nestled between the Bay Bridge and the island, Clipper Cove provides a unique vantage point to admire views of the San Francisco skyline and the iconic Golden Gate Bridge.
Visitors are drawn to this unspoiled spot for its tranquility and natural beauty. The gentle waves make it ideal for leisurely swimming and paddleboarding. The beach's backdrop features lush greenery, offering a peaceful setting for a picnic or a stroll along the shore. Treasured even more for its relative seclusion, Clipper Cove Beach provides the perfect backdrop for a quiet day by the water.
Treasure Island, historically a site of the 1939 Golden Gate International Exposition, adds a cultural layer to the beach's allure. The island's rich history and the waters that once hosted naval fleets lend a distinct charm to the cove, making every visit both relaxing and enlightening.

Clipper Cove Beach is a charming destination known for its relaxing atmosphere and beautiful views. While not a globally iconic natural landmark, it offers a delightful coastal experience within an urban setting.

See the Bay Bridge from a different point of view. Lovely little beach where everyone is invited. The best part is that it is hidden so it’s not highly populated. Enjoy the view!

Tiny beach spot with amazing views. The Island has an odd ghost town air. I shared the beach with all of two other people on a beautiful, sunny day.

Clipper Cove Beach offers a unique and peaceful perspective of San Francisco Bay. I came on an August Sunday morning and I was the only one there. I got some serious zen vibes. I will definitely return! Note: the wooden stairs that descend to the beach from the parking lot are very decrepit and look like they could break at any time. As such, watch your step and hold on to the railing.
