Amazing place. We had good time in Mountain Lodge Spilios Agapitos and hike to highes peak od Greece from there. Apox. 3 hours to lodge and 3 hours to Mitikas Peak.

The place where the legends begins. You feel like in the beginning of the world, fool of peace and splendor. A place where only gods dwell.

We slept at the shelter and then headed for Skala. It is good to divide the climb up to the refuge for one day and climbing the top for the next because up to the refuge is about 2hrs and you should save your energy. So we did just that and up to Skala everything is fine, the difficult part starts from there to Mytikas. You should really listen to how you feel. It is dangerous so bring a helmet or borrow one from the refuge for 5€. From Skala you go down the rock for a few metres, there are some small trails and then there is a climb which is scary but quite manageable if you take it slow. There is then a moment you go beyond a very high rock but don’t worry, there is a rope made from metal so you can hold onto it for some help. Overall, it was a beautiful and humbling experience and definitely for more advanced climbers with some training!

Beautiful place and landscape, ancient history. The path is not well marked. From Prionia to refugee A is yellow E4. But is only one way and you coudn't lost. Maybe you will meet donkeys that bring staff to refugee. The way up to Olympus is not marked, but there are enought tourists to ask about direction. The path is clear visible.
