AdrenaLine Zipline Course: Kauai FlyLine, WaterZip & Bamboo Pool Adventure

Perched above Kipu Valley on Kauai’s southeast flank, AdrenaLine Zipline Course at 230 Kipu Road in Lihue is a full-throttle aerial playground that straps you into four distinct ziplines, including Hawaii’s longest FlyLine. In roughly 3.25 hours you’ll launch from platforms that sweep across steep, verdant valleys, fly headfirst at highway speeds, race side-by-side on center-dismount lines, and finally step off into a cool natural lava-rock swimming hole called Bamboo Pool. The course features an 800-foot single line that warms up your nerves, an 1800-foot tandem where racers can flip upside down, an inventive WaterZip that drops you into Bamboo Pool, and the signature 4,000-foot FlyLine that sends you Superman-style from a 50-foot platform at speeds up to 60 mph. The terrain beneath is a patchwork of ridges, rivers, and towering trees on privately managed Kipu Ranch, a landscape that doubled for films like Jurassic Park and Raiders of the Lost Ark. That cinematic pedigree gives the views a familiar, larger-than-life quality. Guides from Outfitters Kauai manage harnessing, safety checks, and photo opportunities while providing local context about the valley’s geology and flora. Key natural elements include steep river-cut valleys, volcanic lava rock pools, and a canopy of native and introduced trees scented by white ginger around Bamboo Pool. The course layout emphasizes airtime: long suspension runs, center-dismounts, and a variety of launch heights that make each line feel like a different sport. Why book it? It’s one of Kauai’s boldest ways to experience Kipu Valley’s vertical relief in a single morning. It blends adrenaline with a tactile connection to the land—swooping over film-famous ridgelines, cooling off in a lava-lined pool, and learning about locally significant places from guides who work and live here. Practical notes: meet at Outfitters Kauai headquarters on Kipu Road in Lihue. Minimum age is seven, minimum height four feet; riders must weigh between 60 and 275 pounds. Bring a swimsuit under quick-dry clothing, closed-toe shoes with good tread or aqua socks, reef-safe sunscreen, and a towel. Bottled spring water, Hawaiian Sun juices, and Hanalima Bakery cookies are included. AdrenaLine is both a high-adrenaline attraction and a way to support responsible local recreation on private ranchland. Book in advance during high season, listen to crew briefings, and enjoy one of Kauai’s most iconic aerial rides. The course contains no beginner lines, so even first-time zippers should expect sustained thrills and repeated safety briefings. Guides double-check harnesses, brakes, and launch procedures, and staff will pace groups for rest and photos. Consider arriving early to secure a morning slot when winds are light and valley lighting flattens shadows. Support the local economy by tipping guides and following Leave No Trace practices around Bamboo Pool to protect native plants.
