Elm Cabin at Tall Pines ATV Park: Electric Cabin Near Andover Trails

The Elm Cabin at Tall Pines ATV Park sits just off the trail network near Andover, New York, offering a compact, electric-powered basecamp for groups who want simple comfort and direct access to the outdoors. This one-room cabin sleeps up to six with a queen bed and four twin bunks, and it brings small luxuries—air conditioning, a refrigerator and a microwave—into an otherwise rustic setting. Visitors note the practical layout: mattresses are provided but linens are not, so bring sleeping bags or sheets and pillows. Outside, the cabin opens onto a picnic table and campfire ring where dinners turn into late-night stories under wide New York skies. A porta-john stands nearby; there is no indoor plumbing in the unit, so plan accordingly. Parking is plentiful and there is space to pitch tents if your party stretches beyond six. Because the cabin sits adjacent to maintained trails, mornings often begin with the scent of damp leaves and the low hum of ATVs or distant hikers heading out for the day. The surrounding landscape is typical of this corner of western New York—rolling hills, mixed hardwood stands, and open clearings that give long views toward the ridge lines. For riders and hikers the trail access makes Elm Cabin a strong logistical choice: you can roll out of bed, load equipment, and be on singletrack or two-track in minutes. At the same time, the cabin's electric amenities make it a better option for those who want a breeze of air conditioning after a summer ride or a place to chill food during a multi-night stay. Practical details are clear: check-in at 3:00 PM and check-out at 11:00 AM; late departures may be charged an extra night. The cabin accommodates up to six and is ideal for small families, friend groups, or riders looking for an economical, no-frills overnight with creature comforts. Bring your own linens, food for the fire ring, and respect quiet hours so the camp remains welcoming for everyone. Elm Cabin feels like a local node in a larger recreational landscape—part lodge, part campground—where the day's adventures are stored beside the refrigerator and the night's warmth comes from the shared fire ring. It's a pragmatic, convivial way to experience Andover's trailscape without giving up the essentials that make a trip comfortable. Because Elm Cabin functions as a staging point for day rides and hikes, pack a tool kit and extra fuel or batteries if you're riding. Campfire wood may be available at the park office, but bringing split wood ensures a fire. Respect Leave No Trace principles: pack out trash, keep pets leashed, and minimize noise. The cabin's simplicity is its appeal—practical, social, and built for hard days on the trail.
