Explore Jupiter Island: Private Double-Decker Pontoon Charters with Slide

On any clear day off the coast of Jupiter, Florida, the Explore Jupiter Island New Avalon Funship— a 28-foot, double-decker pontoon fitted with a slide and a small bar—becomes the platform for easy, sun-forward boating that suits families, friend groups, and anyone who wants to trade sand for saltwater. Launching from Jupiter’s waterways, this private charter carries up to 12 guests on three- to eight-hour outings guided by a local captain born and raised in town. That local knowledge is the trip's edge: the captain reads tides and winds, picks the shallow sandbars perfect for wading, and points out the quiet coves and seagrass flats where pelicans plunge and juvenile fish hide. The itinerary is flexible — swim off the built-in slide, anchor at a favorite sandbar for an impromptu picnic, or cruise past shoreline vegetation and mangrove fingers that act as nurseries for the coastal ecosystem. Peanut Island is a regular stop for those who want a small stretch of white sand and protection from the current. The boat’s double-decker design means you can spread out — sun on the top deck, shade below — while the captain steers to calmer channels when little ones want to splash. Safety and comfort are built into the experience. US Coast Guard regulations limit the passenger count to 12 and the crew will brief guests on life jacket use, splashing rules, and weather contingencies. Because charters run from early morning into late afternoon, you can plan a sunrise cruise to catch glassy water or an afternoon trip that slides into golden light. This charter stands out in Jupiter’s recreation scene because it blends convivial, party-boat energy with conservation-minded seamanship: local captains avoid sensitive seagrass beds and favor anchoring in sandy areas to reduce habitat damage. The Funship’s size is intimate enough for private conversation but robust enough to handle Gulf and Intracoastal chop, making it a versatile choice for fishing off the side, casual snorkeling, or just cooling off after a coastal hike. Practical details: schedules vary by day and demand; meeting point is provided after booking; weather can change plans. Bring reef-safe sunscreen, a cooler, and a sense of curiosity. For travelers staying in Jupiter, Palm Beach Gardens, or nearby Palm Beach County, this charter is an immediate way to experience Florida’s subtropical coastline from the water — fast, friendly, and undeniably fun. Charters are offered in flexible blocks between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m., with weekend slots typically 9–1 and 1:30–6; custom departures can also be arranged. Expect a local briefing at pickup, and consider packing a mesh bag for shells, water shoes, and biodegradable snacks to keep the group comfortable and the shoreline clean. Children love the slide but everyone should use life vests when swimming; the captain carries extra jackets and enforces turn-taking on the ladder. Book early in high season to secure your preferred date.
