Lecce, located in Italy’s southern region of Puglia, is often referred to as the “Florence of the South” because of its remarkable Baroque architecture and vibrant street life. Velo Service offers a flexible one-day bike rental that lets riders unlock the city’s historic streets and the surrounding countryside at a natural, unhurried pace. With a central pickup point in Lecce, riders can choose from a variety of bicycles suited to their comfort and style, accompanied by included safety gear for a secure, self-guided ride.
The city’s architecture stands out in stark, warm-hued limestone that shines under the Mediterranean sun. Landmarks like the Basilica di Santa Croce and the Palazzo dei Celestini display intricate stone carvings and exuberant facades, all within easy reach by bike. Venturing beyond the city center, cyclists can take in olive groves and gently rolling fields of the Salento countryside, where centuries-old farms and quiet lanes offer contrasting scenery to the urban core.
What makes Velo Service truly stand out is its seamless melding of convenience, flexibility, and local knowledge. Renting a bike here is more than a task—it's a gateway to experiencing Lecce’s cultural landmarks and natural surroundings without the limits of a tour schedule. It caters to both seasoned riders and casual adventurers who want to soak up authentic southern Italy on two wheels.
Whether you’re captivated by the textured stonework of Lecce’s plazas or the peace of Puglia’s open landscapes, a bike rental through Velo Service provides an active, engaging way to connect with this historic locale.
