Private Luxury Speed Boat Transfer: Capri to Amalfi in One Hour

Onboard a Luxury Speed Boat Transfer between Capri and Amalfi, the sea becomes the brief, elegant corridor that links two of Italy’s most magnetic shorelines. Departing from Marina Grande on Capri, this private, one-hour crossing puts you at the helm of convenience: a flexible departure time between 7 a.m. and 8 p.m., room for up to eight guests, and the quiet luxury of a speedboat that glides the Tyrrhenian Sea. The route threads a coastline of vertical limestone cliffs, sea caves and scrub-covered terraces, past the jagged Faraglioni stacks, the tiny islets of Li Galli, and cliffs that tumble to indigo water.

This transfer is more than transit; it’s a mini coastal expedition. The captain can adjust the timetable to fit your ferry, flight or hotel check-in, meaning you arrive in Amalfi or Capri with time to spare and no scramble. The boat’s low profile offers intimate views of the shoreline geology: exposed limestone strata, calcified terraces and centuries-old lemon groves clinging to steep slopes. Watch for gulls wheeling against the cliffs and the pale flash of flying fish where currents meet submerged promontories.

Practicality meets style here. Because the tour is private, you can ask the skipper for a slow cruise by a grotto or a photo stop off a hidden cove. Group size is capped at eight, so there’s space for luggage, wardrobe changes and a relaxed seat for every passenger. Embarking from Marina Grande places you at the original arrival point for Capri visitors—a compact port with a classic harbor feel and steps that climb to the town of Capri.

For travelers who care about timing, note that the exact departure will be agreed after booking; windows cover the full daylight span so you can tailor the crossing. Summer is obvious for calm water and clear views, but spring and fall often deliver softer light, fewer boats and more dramatic sea colors. On busy summer days, stagger travel times to avoid ferry crowds on the docks.

Why book this rather than a public ferry? Privacy, speed and a tailored itinerary: it’s ideal for honeymooners, small groups, or any itinerary where time and comfort matter. The boat becomes your private vantage point on a coastline shaped by sea and limestone, a swift and stylish connector between two storied Mediterranean destinations.

Plan for practicalities: bring sun protection, a small soft-sided bag for luggage and any medications, and print or store booking confirmation so the captain can coordinate pick-up. The transfer deposits you at Amalfi’s harbor, a short walk from the cathedral and the main piazza, making it simple to continue on foot or catch a local bus. Communicate arrival times in advance to ensure a smooth handoff between island and coast.
