Board a private yacht in Barcelona for a three-day weekend that alternates between Sitges’ lively seafront and the rugged coves of the Costa Brava. Expect short daytime sails, swims from the boat, and overnight moorings in local marinas.
On a Friday evening the yacht slips free of Barcelona’s marina lights and the city’s hum gives way to the measured slap of the hull on the Mediterranean. Night on board is quiet—an onboard galley, soft cushions and the occasional glow of distant town lights—before breakfast and a day of coastal navigation toward either the sun-bright beaches of Sitges or the jagged coves of the Costa Brava.

Night on board is quiet—an onboard galley, soft cushions and the occasional glow of distant town lights—before breakfast and a day of coastal navigation toward either the sun-bright beaches of Sitges or the jagged coves of the Costa Brava.
This weekend route traces centuries of maritime activity: Roman and medieval ports, fishing villages that became artist enclaves, and a coastline shaped by uplifted limestone that creates the cliffs and hidden bays of the Costa Brava. Cultural notes arrive ashore—Sitges’ seafront promenade and Modernist houses, or small Costa Brava coves where stone hamlets keep a slower pace.
Expect varied sailing: open-water legs between 10–30 nautical miles per day depending on the skipper’s plan and weather, sheltered coastal stretches for anchor-in swims, and overnight berthing at local marinas. The sea has moods—flat and glassy at dawn, restless by afternoon—so plan for motion and changing light.
Practical guidance: arrive at the Barcelona base around boarding time, pack layered clothing for cool mornings and strong sun in the afternoon, and bring slip-resistant deck shoes. Motion-sickness remedies, a small overnight bag, and a charged phone for photos and the yacht’s Wi‑Fi will keep the weekend smooth. The trip balances relaxed cruising with short sails and on-shore exploration—ideal for small groups seeking a private taste of Spain’s coastal shorelines.
The private charter accommodates up to six passengers, offering exclusive use of the yacht and crew.
The basic itinerary includes breakfasts and some onboard amenities, but dinners ashore and marina fees are typically not included.
Yes—overnight berths are standard aboard weekend charters; cabins are compact but designed for short stays.
The skipper adjusts the route for safety; the tour can be canceled with refund if severe weather prevents sailing according to the cancellation policy.
