About Buskett Gardens

Buskett Gardens is located in the fertile valley of Wied il-Luq, close to Rabat and Siġġiewi, on the Mediterranean island of Malta. Originally established as a hunting ground, this rich verdant haven now serves as a popular recreational area for locals and tourists alike. The gardens are one of the few woodland areas on the island, hosting a mixture of Mediterranean pines, cypresses, lemons, and orange orchards. Besides providing a cool respite from the sun, these gardens are home to a variety of bird species, making it a hotspot for bird watching. The annual Imnarja feast, celebrating Saints Peter and Paul, is traditionally held here, attracting numerous visitors for its cultural and gastronomic offerings. With its network of footpaths and trails, the gardens offer ample opportunities for leisurely walks, picnics, and nature study, making it a cherished natural escape.
