Arethusa Falls is a stunning natural attraction with a rich blend of beauty and adventure. While not as internationally renowned as some larger waterfalls, its charm and picturesque setting make it a worthy destination for outdoor enthusiasts and nature lovers seeking a memorable experience in the heart of New Hampshire’s wilderness.

Breathtaking waterfall! But a butt kicker getting to it! Large rocks & tree roots to navigate up the 1.4 mile trail.

A great hike up to the top and in the end you get to see a great waterfall. A great place lace for a picnic. The hike to the falls can seem long, but on the way back you can go 3 times as quick. I suggest that you go up the Bemis Brook trail because there are many waterfalls along that are very cool. The Bemis Brook trail connects back up to the trail.

It’s a fun walk. Nice waterfall. Easy to find. We’d walk it again. The first .75 mile is steep and the next .25 mile is easier. The last .5 mile has steep and flat parts. This is not a good trail for anyone who struggles to walk on flat trails. If you’re not an active person, this trail is challenging. There are thousands of rocks and roots on the trail. Lots of high steps from root to rock. The park service has does a good maintaining the trail. $5 for parking.

very nice waterfall, it really makes an impression! you have to do a hike about 2 miles hiking, but it's worth it! the parking lot is large, you can even use the 2 located higher and save 0.1 mile walk. there is a fee of $ 5. you can do a loop and see the 2-ripley waterfall, or use a separate parking lot.the trail is well marked

Just visiting Arethusa is worth the trek (but there’s more to explore for those with an adventurous spirit). With Arethusa believed to be the tallest single drop waterfall in New Hampshire, it really is a sight to behold! Reaching it is less than 3 miles at a steady 900’ elevation gain. For experienced hikers, it’s an easy-moderate hike. For less experienced hikers, it’s difficult. Visiting the other falls (Bemis and Coliseum) is about the same distance, but is more difficult. The final stretch to get from Bemis Brook Trail, back onto Arethusa Falls Trail requires a steep rock scramble. For experienced hikers, the full loop is certainly doable, but for less experienced hikers or those not comfortable with scrambles, this would be very difficult and should be avoided.
