This place is really terrific! Note that it's more like a European mountain hut than a hotel: most rooms are shared, they roll a loud triangle at 7 AM for breakfast, and bathrooms are shared. But the folks here are really lovely, and the food is very good.
If you're getting one of the king bedrooms upstairs, I recommend 8 over 7, since it has a lake view!

Our stay at the Adirondack campground was fantastic! Lean-to No. 10 had a beautiful site with excellent facilities. The lake was stunning, and renting a canoe or kayak for just $10 added to the experience. A truly magnificent spot!

The campground is an awesome place to stay if you want to hike Marcy, Algonquin and other high peaks. The trail heads are super close by - no need for parking, just walk over! We stayed in a lean-to. We also enjoyed hiking Mount Jo and the Heart Lake trail and going for a dip in Heart Lake post-hike.

We had a magical stay here. The lodge is so cozy with warm light and warm folk! Nestled against the most lovely lake for swimming and in the heart of beautiful Adirondack trails. We stayed in the loft room and it was dark and peaceful. The family friendly energy of the lodge made us feel safe and supported as two female travelers. We hiked Mt. Marcy our first day- a heck of a hike, and so worth it for the views and the sense of accomplishment. Definitely recommend staying here for the lovely energy, delicious breakfast, and proximity to trails! We hope to return soon!

Stayed at a campsite for 3 nights. The bathrooms are kept well, the high peaks information center was very informative, the sites are spacious and having a burger at the Hungry Hiker right there at the end of a long hike is pretty awesome. Will definitely camp here again!
