Beautiful little pier This little pier is very pretty and fun to take a walk out on, my only caveat is that it costs money! It's only $1.50, but most piers I've been on don't have an entrance fee. Nevertheless, it's still a very pretty experience and you meet all sorts of nice people hanging out and fishing, some fellows even have piles of fish they're skinning and you can watch. The main reason I go out though is for photo taking and watching the surfers!

Since I was a child, I have visited the pier. It was my father's favorite fishing pier. Having moved to Florida a few years back, I stopped to pay daddy a visit. I could hear his voice. I teared up a bit with the trip down memory lane. I hope the county can get that back for the community.

Cool beach area expanding along the roadway. Very convenient & close parking along the beach area with shops, food & drink across the street. Beautiful views.

Flagler beach is so beautiful and peaceful! Amazing sunrise! Good surfing! You can even go horseback riding on the beach! The Flagler Beach Pier is almost as old as the city itself and was built in 1927. The Pier is a great place to fish and you do need to pay for Pier access. It is also a good place for whale watching if your timing is right. Another cool thing about the beach is that four types of sea turtles nest here and are protected under the laws. Sea Turtle Nesting Season is May 1-October 31. Fun Fact: “USA Today ranked Flagler Beach as one of the best places to take your pets when planning a beach vacation.”

The sand has bigger grains than expected and there were a lot of tiny shells mixed in. Definitely made for a beautiful scene! Likely one of my favorite beaches thus far!
