This place does have an amazing view, just be prepared to share it with about 100 other people.. not great for privacy but if you're looking for a nice sunset view that does not require a strenuous hike, or really any hike at all for that matter , then this is the place for you. Parking was only a few dollars and everyone was respectful and moved out of the way to let others take their pictures. I would visit here and I would recommend it if you're short on time or if someone in your group is unable to do the tougher hikes. There are definitely better hikes but this is the best for a quick stop.

Beautiful Sedona trails that will take your breath away (in a good way!) short, easy trails (IMO) for your beginner friends or for when it’s 115 degrees out! Small parking can fill up quickly but we had no issue in the middle of the day and bright and early in the morning. 10/10 recommend a sunrise/set hike here. 🌵🌞

This is a great site to feel the vortex and get a 360 degree view of the red rock formations. You can walk up a short but steep trail to the summit. You can also hike the airport loop for a moderate hike and for those not afraid of heights. The views are worth it! There is limited parking.

We did the airport loop hike which was the most beautiful scenery I've ever hiked. We parked in the oaid parking which was only $3 and saw the lookout then went hiking. Some parts of the path were hiking on rocks very near large drop offs so be careful. Also bring water!! After our hike it was almost sunset and the lot was really crowded with people watching the sunset. This was also nice as there was someone playing music. Regardless of cliffs and heat I loved it and can't wait to come back and do it again.

I recently had the pleasure of parking at Mesa Airport in Sedona, and I couldn't be happier with my experience. For just $3, I found a convenient spot and, even better, had direct access to one of the most breathtaking views I’ve ever seen.
After parking, I crossed the road and was greeted by a stunning sunset over the iconic red rock mountains. The sky transformed into a canvas of vibrant pinks, reds, and oranges, creating a truly majestic scene. It felt like a postcard come to life!
If you’re visiting Sedona, I highly recommend taking a moment to enjoy the sunset from this spot. It’s a priceless experience that will leave you in awe. Don’t miss out on this beautiful opportunity!
