Fun-to-drive trail with some challenging sections. There are rocky stretches that might intimidate unexperienced drivers. But we tackled the trail back and forth without a hitch in my near-stock Wrangler Sport. The only tweak I've made is the 33” M/T tire upgrade. We handled the trail in standard 4WD, without ever needing 4WD Low. Had a blast out there. This trail is a must for vehicles purposely built for off-roading (Wrangler, 4Runner, Bronco, Tacoma, FJ Cruiser, Discovery etc). Wouldn't suggest trying it in crossovers or family SUVs. Good ground clearance is essential. You can pick up the $5 permit at the gas station located at 4295 Collettsville Rd #9012, Collettsville, NC 28611.

Great spot to go camping. I didn't see the sign for $5 charge until after we left . I'm still not aure if its just for the people riding dirt bikes and ATVs or campers as well. Clean, has bathrooms and firepits

Been a few times and always have a great time. It's a great place to get away from everything and enjoy yourself. I drove my Jeep up as well as the Polaris RZR 1000 and had a blast. Can't wait to go back again soon

Went all the way to the top in my new R1T Rivian, Only dirt bikes and 4-wheelers brave enough the day I went. I did scratch my rims on the rocks 🤨 but had fun with my youngest son 👍

Awesome place to go ride, with linville falls just down the rd from here my wife and I drive our 2024 RZR PRO R 4 "Street Legal" all over the mountains and on the trails.
