this was our daughter's FAVORITE camp!! She had never done any of the activities and now Stand up paddle board, kayaking, and biking are her favorite. Before camp, she biked with training wheels (and only occasionally). During camp, she learned how to ride without training wheels! It took her two more park trips to completely be able to ride her bike. AVID taught her so much!
The counselors are amazing, the logistics are flawless, and the experience really does boost the kids confidence. First on our list for next years camps!

My daughter absolutely loves the Avid4 adventure camps. It's one of the best summer camps she's been enrolled in for the past few years. The communication is crisp, and the camp teachers care for the children during the outdoor activities. It's helped her appreciate outdoor play and develop a bond with nature. The class helped her overcome her fear of riding bikes- from no can't ride on trails to maybe I can and finally to “ I have got this” due to the patience and support of the coordinator.
We've been highly recommending avid camps to every parent!

Our son went to the Colorado Springs location and he loved it. They pushed him to try new things, taught him about taking care of each other and nature when out. The counselors were very friendly and supportive of all the children. All the kids were exhausted by the end of the day, but all seemed to really love the experience. Definitely doing this every summer.

Loved the camp for my son. Lots of growth, great environment, and new experiences! He did the water sports last year which included whitewater rafting, kayaking, and surfing in Bueno Vista. This year he did the multi-sport camp which included mountain biking, hiking, paddle boarding, and white water rafting in Steamboat Springs! Received loads of photos too. Wish they had this for the parents.

This sleep away camp has been the most impactful summer experience of our son’s life. He came back more independent and even interested in chores and cooking in new way! Unlike traditional sleep away camps this is more about survival skills and learning to live in and love the outdoors. They push you past your comfort zones and help you to get to that next level. The counselors are amazing. This past summer our daughter got to attend as well and also had an awesome time. I literally couldn’t believe every child got a full speech at the end about their strengths and their growth! This is a very special experience!
